Sinclair Hunting Modern Lightweight Tartan is a dark green-based tartan with shades of blue. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
The 3rd Earl, in 1446, founded Rosslyn Chapel in Midlothian. The Sinclair were frequently engaged in clan warfare with Gunns. They were powerful and influential in the north where they held high positions. Sir John Sinclair of ulster, who died in 1835, was a noted agriculturalist and writer. His best-known work was the editing of the first Statistical Account of Scotland.
