Scottish Borderland Weathered Medium Weight Tartan is an olive green and blue based tartan with light blue, yellow and camel overchecks. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool in our mill in Scotland. It can be made into kilts, clothing, upholstery and craft projects.
The Scottish Borderland tartan was designed by Alistair Buchan the previous owner of Loch Arron of Scotland in 1996, and was inspired by the colors’ of the Scottish Borders landscape, the blues and greys of the River Tweed running through the region and soft greens that blankets the hills from Peebles across to the east coast, this tartan is a district tartan and therefore does not have a clan chief. Home to clans such as the Elliots and the Scotts, relationships between Border Clans would vary from uneasy alliances to open, deadly feud.
