Renwick Ancient Heavyweight Tartan is a dark black-based tartan with shades of green and yellow.
James Renwick, the Covenanter, was the last man executed for religious principles in Scotland. Main areas where this name has flourished would appear to be in the Dumfriesshire district. Also known as clan Donnachaidh, their heritage can be traced back further than any other Scottish Clan, and they claim to be descendants of the Celtic Earls of Athol. Their name is taken from Robert “Rimbach” Duncanson, who captured and put to death the assassins of King James I.
