Ogilvie Hunting Ancient Lightweight Tartan is a vibrant green-based tartan with shades of blue and red. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
The Ogilvie’s descend from Gilbert, son of the 1st Earl of Angus, who had a charter to the barony of Ogilvie in Forfarshire in the 12th century. The Ogilvie’s of Airlie were loyal to the Royal House of Stewart and suffered in their cause. They took an active part in the Jacobi Risings of 1715 and 1745.
