National Tartan Fabric

National Millennium Medium Weight Tartan is a classic green-based tartan with a bold red check. Created by the National Association of Scottish Acrylic Woolen Manufacturers in the 1930s, this design did not get much exposure, perhaps because of the approach of World War II. On discovering this dormant design, it was launched by Loch Carron of Scotland to celebrate the 2000 Millennium. Since the Millennium is well established, this design is known as National and has a well-deserved permanent place in Loch Carron of Scotland’s collection.
