Description
Inverness Modern Lightweight Tartan is a classic red-based tartan with shades of green and white. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
The Inverness tartan is said to have been designed for HRH Duke of Sussex in around 1822. The duke was also Earl of Inverness and the tartan was named in honour of his Scottish title. It was the first tartan to appear as a color illustration in any book on tartans.
