Inglis Ancient Lightweight Tartan is a colourful green-based tartan with a blue check and red and yellow overcheck. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
This name derives from the Scots ‘Englis’, meaning an Englishman. During the 12th century, the Inglese’s spread widely and were found to be from Kintyre to Aberdeen. The name was carried to France, where it appeared as Danglars and in Scotland is occasionally found as Angel.
