Description
National Tartan which was commissioned by Philip King, Kiltmakers, of George Street, Aberdeen. The tartan was launched on St. Andrew’s Day 1993, creating considerable interest throughout the worldwide Scots community. Loch Carron has One of the most powerful of Border clans the Scotts is first recorded in the 12th century. Sir Walter Scott was created Lord Scott of Buccleuch in 1600 and his son, the 2nd Lord, was elevated as Earl of Buccleuch in 1619. Sir Walter Scott, the famous writer, was descended from the Harden branch.
