Stewart of Athol Modern is a red-based tartan with shades of green.
The Stewarts of Athol were strong and powerful and were extremely loyal to the Royal house of Stewart. They fought at the Battle of Killiecrankie under Viscount Dundee, and during the Jacobite Rising of 1745 they formed part of the right wing of the Jacobite army at the Battle of Culloden in April, 1746.
